JCEA is hosting a Bowling Night on November 28th
at the Shepherd University Game Zone 6-8 pm.

Emerging Leaders Conference

The Eastern Panhandle will hold an Emerging Leaders Conference on November 3rd & 4th in Winchester. (Specific location TBA)

JCEA Meeting Minutes
 
Jessica Tubergen called the meeting to order.
Roll Call was taken by Emily.
Minutes from September Meeting—Kay moved to accept Sept. minutes. Angela seconded the motion. All were in favor. None opposed. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report—Kay gave the treasurer’s report. Sue moved to approve. Angela seconded the motion. All were in favor. None opposed. Motion passed.

Old Business
Membership Update—at least 9 new members. Not all forms have been sent to Kay.
Emerging Leaders Conference—November 3 & 4 in Martinsburg. If anyone is interested or knows someone who may be interested, contact a JCEA officer or Rich Calhoun.
American Education Week-Kay suggested small cutting boards be purchased for members. Discussion followed. Cheryl moved to purchase cutting boards as a first choice with stylus and pen as a second option. Sue seconded the motion. All were in favor. None opposed. Motion passed.
Angela moved to close old business. Sue seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion passed.

 New Business
Officers Election—Election results as follows:
President Jessica Tubergan
Elementary VP: Angela Weaver
Secondary VP: Brian Bauer

September Personnel Representative Meeting—Jessica Tubergen and Rich Calhoun met with Dr. Gibson, Mr. Pettiford, AFT president, Service Personnel president. Concerns from previous meeting were shared. Next meeting is Nov. 7.
Scholarship—WHS requested clarification on JCEA scholarship. Discussion followed.

December 14—Jingle Bell Mingle, 6pm @ Page-Jackson Elementary

 Meet and Discuss Items
Technology issues at several schools. VM Ware freezing and shutting the student out during testing and other uses.
Sub shortage is still an issue.
